PAAL Program Hosts A Holiday Open House
The PAAL Program will host a Holiday Open House at the Lifeskills House on December 11, 2008 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. PAAL students participated in designing the invitation; and will distribute it to our neighbors and friends. Lead teacher Emily Genter reports that they will bake cookies, to be served at the event. The Open House is intended to be a "thank you" to our local community members, who have generously opened their hearts to our students. Happy Holidays, everyone! |

Thanks to PAAL's Heroes!
Today, just two weeks (and quite a few pounds lighter) from returning safely (thank God) from active duty in Iraq, long time PAAL PARTNER and initial engineer of our INVALUABLE web-site, Jonathan Jenkins successfully participated in the Marine Corps Marathon completing 26.2 miles raising over $4,000 for MECA and OAR. This is Jon's second race for us and, notwithstanding coming home tired from his overseas duty having lost a lot of weight, he BEAT his time from last year. His pal Cheryl, who came along with him last year, became a runner for us as well this year. The pair is looking to add to their team for Marathon '09.
MECA and PAAL truly salutes these incredible individuals and is indebted to them for their undying support. |
